Episode 2

Excavating Your Values

In episode 2, we begin with the first tool in your Anti-Capitalist Business Toolkit: your values—AKA your compass.

We’ll talk about what values really are and why reclaiming them isn’t as simple as choosing a few words that sound good. This episode invites you to become an archeologist of your own personal history, gently dusting off the bones of your inner values system to determine which values you inherited, which ones you default to, and which ones you developed to survive.

What you’ll get:

  • A grounded definition of what values actually are (beyond branding and buzzwords)

  • Insight into how values shape your business decisions—especially under pressure

  • Reflection on the difference between chosen values and inherited ones

  • Gentle prompts to help you identify which values are already alive in your work

Additional resources:

  • Values Map - Use these pages to begin identifying which values show up most frequently in your business decisions, which ones you aspire to, and which ones you’re ready to leave behind. This will continue to serve as a living document throughout the series.

If you’re ready to dig right into the dirt and start excavating your values together, I hold space and structure for you to do exactly that inside a Values Orientation Session. Learn more here.
